Chatterz Community Rules
Welcome to Chatterz! These rules are designed to maintain a respectful, safe, and educational environment where students can connect, exchange knowledge, ask questions, and help one another learn. By accessing or using Chatterz, you agree to follow these community guidelines.
1. Respect Everyone
All members must treat one another with kindness and respect. Bullying, harassment, threats, intimidation, discrimination, personal attacks, and deliberate attempts to embarrass or humiliate other members are not permitted. Differences in opinions, knowledge, backgrounds, and beliefs should be handled respectfully. Everyone should feel comfortable asking questions and participating in discussions without fear of being mocked or mistreated.
2. Keep Discussions Educational
Chatterz is primarily intended for learning, teaching, knowledge sharing, and constructive discussions. Members are encouraged to ask academic questions, explain concepts, share useful resources, discuss school subjects, and support one another's learning. General conversations are welcome in designated areas, but members should avoid repeatedly disrupting educational discussions with unrelated messages. Deliberately spreading false or misleading information as factual educational guidance is not allowed.
3. No Spam or Unwanted Advertising
Do not flood chat rooms or discussions with repeated messages, meaningless content, excessive emojis, or unwanted links. Unauthorised advertising, repetitive self-promotion, referral spam, and unsolicited promotional messages are prohibited. Members must not use multiple accounts or automated activity to manipulate discussions, rankings, engagement, or community features.
4. Protect Personal Information
Members must respect their own privacy and the privacy of others. Do not publish another person's private information, including phone numbers, home addresses, passwords, login credentials, private conversations, or personal photographs, without appropriate permission. Never pressure another member to reveal personal information, share private images, or communicate outside the platform. If someone makes you uncomfortable or requests inappropriate information, report the behaviour to the moderation team.
5. Keep Content Appropriate
All content shared on Chatterz must be appropriate for a student-oriented community. Sexually explicit material, pornography, graphic violence, disturbing content, hate speech, threats, harassment, and content encouraging harmful behaviour are prohibited. Members must not share malicious software, phishing links, fraudulent offers, scams, or suspicious websites. Usernames, profile pictures, statuses, and other publicly visible content must also follow these standards.
6. Use Study Areas Properly
Members should use subject-specific rooms and educational sections for their intended purposes. Keep discussions relevant to the selected subject and contribute constructively. When helping another student, provide useful explanations where possible rather than mocking mistakes or giving intentionally misleading answers. Members must respect intellectual property, acknowledge original creators, and avoid presenting another person's work as their own.
7. Respect Moderators and Administrators
Moderators and administrators help maintain the Chatterz community and enforce its guidelines. Members are expected to cooperate with reasonable moderation instructions and decisions. Impersonating staff members, interfering with moderation activities, threatening moderators, or encouraging others to target members of the moderation team is prohibited. Members who disagree with a moderation decision should use the appropriate support or appeal channel.
8. No Impersonation or Deception
Members must not impersonate other students, teachers, moderators, administrators, or other individuals. Creating accounts for the purpose of deceiving, harassing, manipulating, or misleading other members is prohibited. Do not falsely claim qualifications, achievements, authority, or personal identities to gain trust or influence within the community. Accessing another person's account without permission is also prohibited.
9. Reporting Violations
Members are encouraged to report bullying, harassment, inappropriate content, suspicious links, impersonation, scams, and other violations of these rules. Reports should be submitted honestly and with sufficient information to help the moderation team understand the situation. Do not retaliate against users, publicly target individuals, or misuse reporting features to harass other members. The moderation team will review reports and take appropriate action where necessary.
10. Moderation and Enforcement
Chatterz reserves the right to review reported content and take reasonable moderation action when community rules are violated. Depending on the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation, consequences may include a warning, removal of content, temporary muting, restriction of account features, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination. Serious violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning. Moderation decisions are intended to protect the community and maintain a positive learning environment.
11. Rule Evasion
Members must not attempt to avoid moderation actions by creating additional accounts, using another member's account, changing usernames, or otherwise circumventing restrictions. Repeatedly violating rules after receiving warnings or attempting to continue prohibited behaviour through alternative accounts may result in additional restrictions or permanent removal from Chatterz.
12. Changes to These Rules
Chatterz may revise, update, or expand these community rules as the platform develops. Updated rules will be published on the platform. Members are responsible for reviewing the latest version and complying with the applicable guidelines when using Chatterz.
13. Final Agreement
By registering for, accessing, or continuing to use Chatterz, you acknowledge that you are expected to follow these community rules. Failure to comply may result in moderation action, including suspension or termination of your account. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where students can learn together, share knowledge, respect one another, and grow as a community.
